Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician/PCT Apprentice to support patient care from admission to discharge. You will work closely with RNs, MAs and other team members to ensure safe transitions and high-quality outcomes.

The role requires completing an approved PCT or CNA program, with emphasis on learning, accountability and collaborative teamwork in a dynamic hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of CNA, Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician program or equivalent background.
• Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing patient needs and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age and criteria; communicate with team.
• Assist with admissions, assessments and procedures; participate in care planning and PI activities.
• Prepare patients for examinations and interact to enhance satisfaction; ensure proper documentation and safety.
