Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a dedicated nursing assistant to provide direct patient care under RN supervision in a general inpatient unit. The role includes assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vitals, documenting in the EMR, and supporting admissions, discharges, and transfers while maintaining patient dignity and privacy.

The incumbent will work under time-sensitive assignments, participate in quality initiatives, and ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Enrolled in ASN or BSN program; clinical rotation preferred.
• Able to read, write, and follow instructions.
• CPR certification.
• Clearances (Act 34/33/73) to work in healthcare.
• Acute care experience within last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Document vitals, I&O, and treatments in the EMR.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Support unit activities and supply stocking.
• Communicate changes to nursing staff promptly.
