Job summary

Parkridge East Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join a collaborative nursing team. You will support Registered Nurses with hands-on patient care, assist with vital signs, mobility, and daily personal tasks while helping maintain a safe, respectful environment for patients.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, dressing changes, room upkeep, supplies management, and clear communication with patients and families to ensure safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas clean, organized and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
