Job summary

TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join a collaborative nursing team. You will assist Registered Nurses with hands-on care, vital signs, mobility, and personal care to create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

Responsibilities include patient preparation, transfers, dressing changes, and maintaining clean, stocked spaces. The role emphasizes empathy, teamwork, and effective communication with patients and the care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BLS/CPR certification within 30 days of start date.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked for safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
