Job summary

Luminis Health, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care in an acute care setting. You will assist with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and support safe, high-quality care in collaboration with the health care team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, CNA certification, and BLS certification. Prior CNA experience in acute care is preferred, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and comfort.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of CNA experience in acute care preferred.
• BLS certification required by AHA.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care with emphasis on personal hygiene and comfort.
• Greet admissions, take initial weight, vitals, and orient patient to room.
• Assist with discharge including dressing, belongings, and transport.
• Record vital signs, intake/output, and other data per policy.
• Identify and report pain or changes in patient condition to nurse.
• Mentor new staff when needed and requested.
• Transport medications per policy and ensure proper handling.
• Maintain supplies and equipment on the unit.
• Ensure safe patient transportation according to policies.
• Process medical staff orders and communicate urgent orders to care provider.
