White Oak Medical Center seeks an experienced Patient Care Technician for our Float Pool. The role supports nursing care through vital signs, ADLs, and patient assistance under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include following the care plan, reporting to the RN, maintaining safety, and joining ongoing education and professional initiatives. The position is part-time with weekend and holiday rotations, offering a supportive healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Successful completion of a CNA program and CNA exam.
• Maryland CNA license required.
• Active BLS certification required.
• English language proficiency required.
• Physical ability to lift/bend/turn.
• Experience in acute care preferred.
• Strong computer skills.

White Oak Medical Center seeks to hire an experienced Patient Care Technician for our Float Pool who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing.

Responsibilities

• Perform various service duties and routine technical tasks such as vital signs and activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Specific duties may vary by area of assignment.
• Consideration of the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required.
• Participates in department and organizational education programs, meetings, committees, and professional initiatives
• Commits to personal, professional development in order to adapt effectively to ongoing change
• Present a positive and professional image to represent nursing and the organization

Care Delivery

• Follows the care plan as established and delegated by the Registered Nurse
• Receives report from the Registered Nurse
• Ensures a culture of safety
• Identifies and reports malfunctioning/expired equipment and supplies
• Ensures work areas and equipment are cleaned and stored appropriately

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required
• Successful completion of a CNA or first year Nursing School Program and successful completion of the CNA exam required
• Maryland CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) License required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Effective command of English language (spoken and written).
• Physical ability to meet job requirements of lifting, bending and turning.
• Experience in acute care clinical setting preferred.
• Strong computer skills

Work Schedule

• Employment Type: Variable Part-time
• Hours per Week: 12 hrs./week
• Typical Daily Schedule: 6:45am to 7:15pm once a week
• Shift Type: Day Shift
• Weekend Requirements: Required every other weekend rotation
• Holiday Requirements: Required Follow company holiday calendar
• Shift Differential Eligible: Yes

Pay Range

$19.64 - $25.84 If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as: United States of America (Non-Exempt)
