Overlake Medical Center and Clinics is seeking a Patient Care Technician (CNA)/Nurse Technician for our Post Surg Unit. The technician provides direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Details:

• Pay Range: $24.46 - $36.18
• Shift: Day
• Type: Per Diem

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of CNA training or equivalent nursing training.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (NA-C) certification.
• Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R); Overlake Hospital sponsors this licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred: One year recent experience in healthcare involving patient contact.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and EKG preferred.
• Computer familiarity preferred.
• Ability to handle hospital equipment and maintain records.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Nurse Technician Qualifications:

The Nursing Technician (NT) is a nursing student enrolled in a recognized nursing program, providing supervised patient care.

• High school graduate; at least one clinical quarter completed.
• Current enrollment and satisfactory clinical progress documented.
• Registered as a Nursing Technician with the Washington State Nursing Commission.
• BLS certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; hospital equipment handling preferred.
• Option to start as Patient Care Technician and transition to Nurse Technician.

Pay Rate for Nurse Tech:

$26.25/hour.
