+ Department: Staffing Resource Center - Regional Float Pool

+ Schedule: PRN 12-hour Day Shift with weekend and holiday commitment required

+ Facility: Ascension Saint Alexius, Ascension Alexian Brothers, Ascension Tallgrass, and Ascension Saint Joseph Chicago

+ Location: Hoffman Estates, Elk Grove Village, Bolingbrook, and Chicago, IL

+ Salary: $18.15 per hour

This is a regional float position and you must commit to working at all 4 sites. You must also commit to working 10 shifts in 6 weeks (3 of them being weekend shifts, and 1 winter and 1 summer holiday).

Responsibilities

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.

1. Aid with movement and placement of patients.
2. Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
3. Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
4. Document necessary records.
5. Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

1. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
2. One or more of the following:
1. Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the Illinois Board Of Division of Emergency Medical Services and Highway Safety obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Intermediate or Advanced also acceptable.
2. Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
3. Nurse Aide credentialed from the Illinois Department of Public Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Nursing student who has completed one semester of medical surgical nursing is also acceptable.

Education:

1. High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
2. Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

1. Must have 1-2 years of CNA/PCT experience.
2. Must be certified.
