Job summary

AdventHealth Parker, CO seeks a dedicated Patient Care Technician / CNA to support nursing staff in a high-acuity unit. You will assist with patient care, document procedures, and help maintain safety and cleanliness in a fast-paced setting.

Requires a High School diploma, CPR/BLS, and CNA or equivalent certification; 1+ PCT experience preferred. This full-time day-shift role offers a sign-on bonus and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• 1+ PCT experience preferred
• Prior bedside care in acute unit preferred
• BLS/CPR required; CNA or CPCT/NCPCT/NCT-C certification required

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies.
• Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives.
• Follows isolation guidelines, uses PPE, performs handwashing, and enforces safety regulations.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures according to department policy.
• Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the RN.
• Assists in identifying patient needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

NEW HIRE SIGN-ON BONUS ELIGIBLE FULL-TIME UP TO $10,000 AND PART-TIME UP TO $5000.

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.

• Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations.
• Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy.
• Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse.

Education:

Work Experience:

• 1+ applicable PCT experience [Preferred]
• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Required] OR NHA Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) [Required] OR NCCT Patient Care Technician (NCPCT) [Required] OR AMCA Patient Care Technician Certification (PCT-C) [Required]
