Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to deliver compassionate care across patient populations, aligned with care plans and safety standards. Collaborate with nurses and the health care team to monitor status and respond quickly to changes.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED and completion of a PCT/CNA/MA program, or eligibility for the HMH PCT Apprenticeship. Preferred experience includes phlebotomy, EKG, and vital signs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a PCT/CNA/MA program or equivalent medical background.
• Eligible for HMH PCT Apprenticeship Program and pathway to PCT role.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age and care criteria with safety and education elements.
• Ensure effective outcomes through clinical judgment and timely actions.
• Maintain ongoing communication with patients and nursing staff about status and care.
• Show initiative and go beyond basic duties to improve performance.
• Collaborate interdisciplinary to support the care plan from admission to discharge.
• Participate in PI activities to enhance unit performance.
