Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support a specific patient population under RN supervision. The role focuses on expanding knowledge, delivering direct and indirect care, and enhancing patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and completion of a CNA/MA/PCT program or HMH PCT Apprenticeship, or equivalent medical background. Candidates may join the PCT Apprentice program if needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of a CNA, Medical Assistant or PCT program or nursing program, or the HMH PCT Apprenticeship; equivalent medical background accepted.
• If not completed, eligible for HMH PCT Apprentice Program and transfer after successful completion.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on age-related criteria.
• Communicate with patients and nursing staff regarding status and care.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration of plan of care from admission to discharge.
• Support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities.
• Assist with unit and environment-related tasks as needed.
