Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a Patient Care Technician, Cardiac Ambulatory at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, IL. The role is full-time with 40 hours across four 10‑hour shifts from 10:00 to 20:30, with no travel required.

You will assist with basic patient care under supervision and participate in rounds, vital signs, and admissions/discharges. No prior experience is required, CNA training preferred, and BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA training or nursing clinical rotation preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic patient care including bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting and positioning under RN/LPN supervision.
• Perform hourly rounding and respond to call lights and requests.
• Assist with safe patient handling including ambulation, transfers and repositioning with proper equipment.
• Obtain and document vital signs, weights, intake/output per protocol.
• Support admissions, discharges, and patient transports while ensuring safety and comfort.

• Hours: 40 hours, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts - 10 am - 8:30 pm
• Required Travel: None

What You Will Do

• Provide basic patient care including bathing, grooming, feeding, toileting, and positioning under the direction of an RN/LPN
• Perform purposeful hourly rounding and respond to patient call lights and requests
• Assist with safe patient handling including ambulation, transfers, and repositioning using proper equipment
• Obtain and document vital signs, weights, intake/output, and other patient care activities per protocol
• Support admissions, discharges, and patient transports while ensuring patient safety and comfort

What You Will Need

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA training or completion of a nursing clinical rotation preferred
• Certification: BLS for Healthcare Provider (AHA) required within 90 days of hire
• Experience: No prior experience required
• Unique or Preferred Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize tasks, teamwork, and commitment to patient-centered care
