Job summary

McLaren Health Care is seeking a dedicated nursing assistant for the Acute Rehab Unit. Under the direct supervision of a nurse, you will participate in day-to-day patient care activities and help maintain a supportive, clean environment that respects patient dignity and comfort.

You will work with a team to assist with daily activities, monitor patient status, and ensure regulatory compliance. A high school diploma and BLS within 30 days are required, with prior care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Prior care experience preferred.
• CENA training preferred.
• Prior experience through clinical nursing rotations in the work area.

Responsibilities

• Performs specific patient care interventions as delegated by the RN to identify/attain treatment goals.
• Delivers compassionate support, attention, and assistance to patients and families.
• Provides physical support for patients with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, showering, feeding, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing or exercising.
• Ensures compliance with all health care regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment and protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control, hazardous waste and other policies and protocols.
• Performs other related job duties as requested.

• Prior experience obtained through clinical nursing rotation relevant to the specific work area.
