Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide nursing assistance and patient care to ensure comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. You will assist patients with activities of daily living and perform procedures for physical hygiene and comfort.

You will work within a unit-based, self-directed patient care team, sharing tasks with licensed and non-licensed colleagues to deliver high-quality care across the hospital.”

Qualifications

• Must have American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Certified Nursing Assistant on Georgia Registry OR CMA by AAMA OR RMA by AMT OR CMA by NHA.
• One year of patient care experience (CNA, PCT, ED Tech or similar).

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

1. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
2. Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry OR Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) OR Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
3. One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

1. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
