Location: Main Campus

Department: MEDICAL ONCOLOGY

Schedule: Full Time, 12 HR Day Shift, 7a-7p

Responsibilities include providing personal care, assisting patients with ADLs, supporting RNs & LPNs, performing procedures, and maintaining equipment and supplies. Note that competencies may vary by unit.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
  • Six months of relevant patient care experience preferred.
  • Phlebotomy and/or Medical Assistant experience preferred.
  • Graduate of PCT course strongly preferred.
  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR Certification preferred.
  • General office skills and medical terminology preferred.

Working Conditions - ADA Information

Work primarily in a hospital setting with moderate to fast pace. May require re-assignment. Moderate to frequent lifting (over 50 lbs), bending, extensive walking. Exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases. Use of office and medical equipment. Interactions with stressed individuals. Physical capacity as per Saunders Method (very heavy).
