PURPOSE AND SCOPE: Functions as part of the dialysis health care team in providing safe and effective dialysis therapy for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with organization policies, procedures, training, and compliance with regulations set forth by the corporation, state, and federal agencies. Responsible for setting up and operating hemodialysis machines, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and supporting quality improvement activities.
Includes lifting, standing, bending, and travel between facilities. Must pass Ishihara's Color Blindness test. Work environment typical of healthcare settings with exposure to infectious materials.
High School diploma or G.E.D., valid PCT certification, and required state licensure. Demonstrated commitment to organization values and customer service.
At least two years patient care experience preferred; successful completion of dialysis training and CPR certification required.
Supports home dialysis patients, assists with home visit tasks, and manages supplies and equipment as directed by RN.
