Sentara is currently hiring a Patient Care Technician to work at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital on the Intermediate Care Unit 3 East.
Hours/Shift:
Full-time, night shift. 7am to 7pm
Department/Position Overview:
Are you looking to test your skills and learn new ones? This 33-bed intermediate care step down unit provides care for high acuity patients. Roles and responsibilities of our PCTs include patient rounding, ADLs, and assisting nurses with bedside procedures, among other responsibilities. As aPatient Care Technicianwith Sentara, you will have the opportunity to learn many new skills. From taking vitals to blood draws and daily care. The primary duties of this position include supporting the admission/discharge process, changing, bathing ambulating patients, drawing blood, foley catheter care, meeting patient needs while working under the direct supervision of a nurse. You will find that teamwork is exceptional, with everyone working together to provide the best care for our patients.
