Position Overview

DaVita is seeking a Patient Care Technician who is passionate about giving life in an outpatient dialysis center. You will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease, delivering care with empathy and compassion.

Responsibilities

1. Provide direct patient care during dialysis treatments, ensuring safety, comfort, and hygiene.
2. Monitor patients before, during, and after dialysis, including recording vital stats and machine setup.
3. Build long-term relationships with patients and educate them on dialysis-related topics.
4. Work within a team of healthcare professionals under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

• No prior dialysis experience required; comprehensive training provided.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable working around blood and needles, and mixing acids or bicarb.
• Able to work long hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willing to train and work across multiple clinics within the territory.
• Healthcare certifications like CNA, CHT, or Phlebotomy are a plus.
