Job Title: Patient Care Technician

Contract Duration: 3 Months

Work Type: Onsite

Location: Shelbyville, KY

Job Description
  1. The Patient Care Technician provides direct patient care for assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
  2. Responsible for accurate documentation related to the patient's treatment.
  3. Assist licensed nurse with pre- and post-dialysis patient assessments and documentation.
  4. Monitor and document dialysis treatment parameters on Dialysis Flow Sheets.
  5. Report significant changes in patient condition to the supervisor.
  6. Assist with emergency operational procedures.
  7. Initiate basic CPR measures in case of cardiac or pulmonary arrest and respond to dialysis-related emergencies.
Experience
  1. Previous patient care experience in a hospital or related setting is preferred but not required.
  2. Complete a training course in hemodialysis theory and practice.
  3. Obtain CPR Certification.
Education
  1. High school diploma or G.E.D.
  2. Training in physical sciences or laboratory techniques is preferred.
