Job summary

Yavapai Regional Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Tech to assist patients with daily living activities, monitor comfort, and support the nursing team to deliver high-quality care. You will conduct hourly rounds, track vitals, and help maintain patient safety in a busy hospital setting.

The role requires Nursing Assistant training or EMT program completion, and a valid BLS certificate, with AZ CNA or EMT:AZ licensing as applicable.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of Nursing Assistant training program or EMT program.
• BLS certification is required.
• AZ CNA License or EMT:AZ is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hourly rounds on 8 to 10 patients, check vitals, assist with care as needed.
• Collaborate with RN to implement patient care plans.
• Assist with activities of daily living according to standards of care.
• Report significant changes in patient condition.
• Assist with patient admission, discharge and transfer.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Care Tech, you will help our patients navigate their hospital stay by assisting them with basic activities of daily living and closely monitoring their physical comfort so they can feel safer, more comfortable, and supported throughout their healing journey.

Every day you will diligently manage essential patient care tasks, which includes checking vital signs and changing bed linens. You will be expected to remain highly observant of changes in a patient's condition, maintain a proactive workflow, and collaborate closely with the nursing team to ensure high-quality care.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a genuine desire to help others feel better, accept feedback and coaching well, and demonstrate a strong eagerness to continuously learn and grow as a care provider.

• Conduct hourly rounds on approximately 8 to 10 patients, checking vitals, maintaining whiteboard information, and assisting with care as needed
• Collaborates with RN in implementation of plan
• Assists patients with activities of daily living according to standards of care and hospital protocol
• Reports significant observed or reported alterations in the patient condition
• Assists with patient admission, discharge and transfer

Job Requirements

Required

• Documentation of successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training program or EMT program, or completion of first block
  of nursing program or Two (2) years experience as an NA in an acute care hospital setting
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certificate
• AZ CNA License or Emergency Medical Technician: AZ (EMT:AZ)
