Job summary

Dignity Health – Yavapai Regional Medical Center, now part of CommonSpirit Health, seeks a Nursing Assistant to support patient comfort and daily living activities in a hospital setting in Prescott, AZ.

You will perform hourly rounds, monitor vitals, coordinate with the nursing team, and ensure safety and compassionate care while maintaining patient dignity throughout their healing journey.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a Nursing Assistant training program, EMT program, or first block of nursing program, or have 2 years experience as a NA in an acute care hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hourly rounds on approximately 8 to 10 patients, checking vitals and assisting with care as needed.
• Collaborate with RN in implementation of care plans.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living per standards of care and hospital protocol.
• Report significant observed or reported changes in patient condition.
• Assist with patient admission, discharge and transfer.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Nursing Assistant, you will help our patients navigate their hospital stay by assisting them with basic activities of daily living and closely monitoring their physical comfort so they can feel safer, more comfortable, and supported throughout their healing journey.

Every day you will diligently manage essential patient care tasks, which includes checking vital signs and changing bed linens. You will be expected to remain highly observant of changes in a patient's condition, maintain a proactive workflow, and collaborate closely with the nursing team to ensure high-quality care.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a genuine desire to help others feel better, accept feedback and coaching well, and demonstrate a strong eagerness to continuously learn and grow as a care provider.

• Collaborates with RN in implementation of plan
• Assists patients with activities of daily living according to standards of care and hospital protocol
• Reports significant observed or reported alterations in the patient condition
• Assists with patient admission, discharge and transfer

Job Requirements

Required

• Documentation of successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training program or EMT program, or completion of first block of nursing program or Two (2) years experience as an NA in an acute care hospital setting
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certificate
• AZ CNA License or Emergency Medical Technician: AZ (EMT:AZ)
