Job summary

CommonSpirit Health, in partnership with Dignity Health's Yavapai Regional Medical Center, seeks a Patient Care Tech to support patients during hospitalization. You will monitor vitals, assist with daily living activities, and coordinate with the nursing team to ensure safe, compassionate care.

The role emphasizes patient comfort, proactive observation, and continuous learning as part of a dedicated healthcare team in Prescott Valley, AZ.

Qualifications

• Documentation of completing an NA training program or EMT program, or completing first block of nursing program.
• Two years of NA experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certificate.
• AZ CNA License or EMT:AZ.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hourly rounds on 8–10 patients, check vitals, manage whiteboard information, and assist with care.
• Collaborates with RN in implementing the care plan.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living per standards of care and hospital protocol.
• Report significant changes in patient condition.
• Assist with patient admission, discharge and transfer.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Patient Care Tech, you will help our patients navigate their hospital stay by assisting them with basic activities of daily living and closely monitoring their physical comfort so they can feel safer, more comfortable, and supported throughout their healing journey.

Every day you will diligently manage essential patient care tasks, which includes checking vital signs and changing bed linens. You will be expected to remain highly observant of changes in a patient's condition, maintain a proactive workflow, and collaborate closely with the nursing team to ensure high-quality care.

To be successful in this role, you must possess a genuine desire to help others feel better, accept feedback and coaching well, and demonstrate a strong eagerness to continuously learn and grow as a care provider.
