Base pay range

$18.05/hr - $19.05/hr

Under the day-to-day direction of the on-duty nurse practitioner/physician assistant, the general purpose of the patient care technician (PCT) position is to maximize patient flow through the clinic while providing a stellar patient experience. Responsible for performing all appropriate administrative tasks, including electronic health record (EHR) documentation, in accordance with company policy. Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent administrative, communication, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Excellent customer service and task management skills

Desired Qualifications
  • Previous experience in retail, customer service, or healthcare
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Greet patients and visitors professionally
  • Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment
  • Assist with patient registration, verify identity, and explain payment options
  • Collect payments and insurance information, scan documents, and update EHR
  • Escort patients, obtain vital signs and history, and document in EHR
  • Manage waiting room flow and provide patient guidance
  • Handle phone inquiries and callbacks
  • Assist with off-site events and supply orders
  • If float, travel to designated clinics
  • Assist providers with specimen collection and lab reporting as trained
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
