Under the day-to-day direction of the on-duty nurse practitioner/physician assistant, the general purpose of the patient care technician (PCT) position is to maximize patient flow through the clinic while providing a stellar patient experience. Responsible for performing all the appropriate administrative tasks, including electronic health record (EHR) documentation, in accordance with company policy. Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills
  • Excellent administrative, communication, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction)
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Excellent customer service and task management skills

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in retail, customer service, or healthcare
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Greet patients and visitors, maintain clinic cleanliness, and assist with administrative tasks
  • Utilize clinic systems for patient flow management
  • Complete registration, verify identity, and handle payments and insurance information
  • Assist with patient care tasks such as obtaining vital signs and patient history
  • Support clinic operations and participate in off-site events
  • Prepare supplies and manage specimen shipping
  • Travel to designated clinics if assigned as a float
  • Assist with specimen collection and reporting as per protocols
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
