Job summary

Highpoint Health- Sumner, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for a full-time night shift. You will assist patients with daily living activities, provide direct patient care, observe and document patient conditions, and support the nursing team with treatment plan adjustments as needed.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, TN CNA license preferred, BLS within 30 days, and 1 year of CNA/EMT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• State of TN CNA license preferred, can be considered without high school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year certified nurse tech or EMT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living
• Providing or assisting with direct patient care
• Observing and recording patient behavior and activities
• Reporting changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff and suggesting modifications to treatment plans
• Assisting with POC testing and EKGs as needed

Since opening in 1959, we have grown from one facility with just 50 employees and 7 physicians to a comprehensive health care leader in the community with more than 1,000 employees and 300 physicians. Today, we operate as a 167-bed healthcare facility and provide quality care in numerous areas of health care.
