Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nurses in delivering compassionate, hands-on care. You will assist with vital signs, mobility, and daily patient needs while helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

Your role emphasizes teamwork, attention to detail, and clear communication with patients and colleagues to uphold quality care and patient comfort.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or equivalent.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection; assist with use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.

Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT), you will be a vital part of our collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands-on care and helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients. You'll assist with daily needs such as vital signs, mobility, and personal care, while helping RNs monitor conditions and carry out care plans. Your attention, empathy, and teamwork help restore comfort and dignity for every patient you serve and make our mission to improve lives a reality each day.
