Job summary

Qualifications

  • One year of experience in a cardiac-related field.
  • Certification in Basic Arrhythmic Interpretation.
  • Certification in Ultrasound Training Program.
  • (RDCS/RDMS) must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
  • (RVT) must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
  • Associate degree.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and record measurements and final reports of M-mode, 2D Doppler echocardiograms for adults and children.
  • Assist practitioners during invasive TEE exams and Stress Testing.
  • Communicate information to physicians.
  • Explain procedures to patients and schedule; maintain ultrasound equipment.
  • Delegate tasks with clear directions and ensure accuracy of work.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Responsible for performing and recording measurements and final report of M-mode, two-dimensional Doppler echocardiograms for adults and pediatric patients. Assist practitioners during invasive TEE exams and Stress Testing. Communicate information to physicians. Exhibits good bedside manners dealing with patients, family members, and staff. Proficient in scheduling, explaining procedures to patients and maintaining ultrasound equipment.

  • Follows through with assignments and informs supervisor if unable to complete task.

What qualifications you will need:

  • One year of experience in a cardiac-related field
  • Certification in Basic Arrhythmic Interpretation
  • Certification in Ultrasound Training Program.
  • (RDCS/RDMS) Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer/ Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
  • (RVT) Registered Vascular Technician must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
