Job summary

Texas Health Huguley in Burleson, TX is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Patient Care Technician to provide compassionate, age-appropriate patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with daily activities, document care, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent and current BLS, CNA or CPCT/A/EMT certifications. Prior bedside care in acute settings preferred; additional benefits include day-one coverage and career development

Qualifications

• High School Grad or equivalent required.
• Licenses listed (BLS, CNA, CPCT/A, EMT) required/licensed.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs treatments according to policy and procedure.
• Maintains patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture.
• Documents procedures in department policy and reports abnormalities.
• Assists in delivery of patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and safety initiatives.
• Promotes a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.

Job Description

Performs treatments according to policy and procedure, providing patient care appropriate to age, mobility, acuity, and culture. Functions appropriately in clinical emergencies. Participates in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and supports quality standards and initiatives. Follows prescribed isolation guidelines, demonstrates appropriate use of protective equipment, performs handwashing according to policy, and enforces safety regulations. Exhibits a desire to learn and upgrades skills continuously. Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Maintains a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. Assists in the delivery of patient care as a team member under the direction of a registered nurse. Documents and reports all procedures in accordance with department policy. Participates in obtaining a nursing history and reports abnormalities to the registered nurse. Assists in identifying patient needs Other duties as assigned.
