Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and the direction of the Registered Nurse, performs duties that support patient care, including direct and indirect activities essential for comprehensive care. Patient and family centered care (PFCC) at BH is demonstrated through participation, dignity, respect, information sharing, and collaboration. This includes providing service excellence by creating a positive environment and demonstrating exemplary customer service skills for all customer groups.
Education: High school diploma or GED; CNA or equivalent (e.g., Medical Assistant, CPCT, EMT, student nurse, LPN).
Experience & Licensure: CT CNA certification, EMT, student nurse, or LPN. BCLS certification required before employment or within one month; must be maintained during employment.
Skills: Successful completion of orientation, proficient in English, positive patient and staff initiatives.
Regularly sit, handle, reach, talk, hear, stand, and walk. Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus adjustment. Moderate noise level.
