Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; ability to read and write.
• Options: 6 months of skilled long-term/acute care experience.
• Enrolled in nursing program with Fundamentals of Nursing.
• 1 year in short-term care facility or CNA program completed.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, monitor patient condition and report abnormalities.
• Assist with diagnostic procedures and specimen collection.
• Provide ADL support and mobility assistance; assist with admissions/discharges.
• Support IV care, ECG monitoring, wound care and routine care tasks.
• Prepare rooms, stock supplies, document care and communicate with the RN.

Education

High school diploma, GED or equivalent

Enrolled in a nursing program and Fundamentals of Nursing course

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) program
