Job summary

Torrance Memorial Medical Center in Torrance, CA seeks a CNA/tech under RN supervision to provide direct patient care, transport services and unit support. You will perform rounds, assist with daily activities and communicate patient changes to the nurse in charge.

Responsibilities include documenting in the medical record, ensuring safety, and coordinating with Biomed and other departments. CNAs must have current CNA certification and CA EMT licenses where applicable.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required.
• Successful completion of first semester enrolled RN program or RN graduate awaiting residency.
• Current National Registry EMT or LA County EMT certification.
• Parametric license issued by the State of California EMS Authority.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN supervision, including ADLs and vitals.
• Transport patients and assist with mobility and comfort.
• Document accurately in the medical record and report changes to RN.
• Assist with room preparation, supply stocking and post-discharge cleanup.
• Maintain safety: bed positions, clean environment and proper equipment use.
• Respond promptly to call lights and inquiries from patients and families.
