Freeman Health in Bentonville, AR seeks a full‑time Unit Secretary/Patient Care Assistant to support nursing staff and coordinate clerical tasks on the unit. The role can alternate between patient care assistant and unit secretary duties as needed to ensure smooth operation.

The ideal candidate will have PCA or CNA certification or be enrolled in an RN program with fundamentals of nursing coursework completed, along with clerical/medical terminology training. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of clerical or medical terminology course
• PCA or CNA course completion certificate
• RN degree program fundamentals of nursing curriculum

Responsibilities

• May function in patient care assistant and/or unit secretary role as needed
• Provides support to the nursing staff and patient care under licensed staff
• Coordinates clerical activities on the unit in coordination with patients and departments; acts as communication focal point
