Job summary

Lansdale Hospital is seeking a compassionate Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of the licensed clinical team. The role supports telehealth encounters and ensures patient comfort, safety and well-being in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication, teamwork, and safety awareness, with relevant BLS/AHA knowledge and a commitment to patient-centered care. Work shifts include nights on site.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient care needs.
• Ability to perform delegated tasks within scope of role.
• Knowledge of personal care and hygiene for quality of life.
• Knowledge of patient safety risks and mitigation.
• Knowledge of respectful communication with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with and supports the interprofessional team, patient, family and designated care partners.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care activities under supervision of licensed clinicians.
• Promotes and maintains a safe patient care environment.
• Maintains supplies and equipment to ensure efficient unit operations.
• Conducts patient rounds, anticipates needs, and responds to call lights promptly.
• May serve as a virtual safety associate as needed; may assist with telehealth exams using peripheral devices and software.
