Texas Health Fort Worth is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for the Surgical PCU. Full-time days, 36 hours per week, with weekend and holiday requirements.

The role provides direct patient care under supervision, assisting with admissions, transfers, discharges, and care documentation. Requirements include a high school diploma, CLIA equivalency, PCT training or THR-approved program, BCLS, CPI annually, and strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• CLIA regulations compliance for foreign education equivalency required.
• PCT Training Program TX CNA/NHA/NAHP/NCCT or THR-approved program, or equivalent on hire.
• EMT or nursing student experience may apply with relevant training.
• BCLS certification prior to providing independent patient care, maintained quarterly.
• CPI training maintained annually.
• Strong organizational, verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care based on plan of care and preferences.
• Collect and report patient data; support admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Perform technical procedures safely and document care accurately.
• Collaborate with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and respond to patient needs.
• Demonstrate teamwork and effective cross-disciplinary communication.
• Participate in process improvement and uphold safety standards.
