Job summary

Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano is seeking a Part-time Patient Care Tech (PCT) Sitters to support patient safety and daily care on our Plano campus. The role blends PCT tasks with sitter responsibilities on a 24-hour week schedule, including two 12-hour day shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.

Qualifying candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, hospital experience preferred, and a THR-approved PCT program or EMT/nursing student status.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or equivalent.
• One year of hospital experience preferred.
• PCT Training TX CNA/NHA/NAHP/NCCT or THR approved program.
• EMT or nursing student status may apply.
• BCLS certification required before independent patient care.
• CPI training annually.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Some roles allow experience in lieu of active certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to care plan.
• Collect and report patient data to nurse.
• Assist in admission/transfer/discharge.
• Support activities of daily living for patients.
• Perform procedures safely and accurately.
• Maintain clean and safe patient environment.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to meet patient needs.
