Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide nursing assistance and patient care for comfort, safety, and personal needs. You will assist with activities of daily living and perform hygiene-related procedures as part of a unit-based, self-directed care team, collaborating with licensed and non-licensed colleagues.

• BLS certification per AHA is required.
• CNA must be listed on Georgia Registry.
• CMA (AAMA) certification required.
• RMA (AMT) certification required.
• CCMA (NHA) certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year direct patient care experience as CNA/PCT/ED Tech or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living.

The Patient Care Technician provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients. Assists patients with activities of daily living and performs procedures for physical hygiene and comfort of patients. Performs duties with the construct of a unit-based, self-directed patient care team while sharing various tasks with other licensed and non-licensed members.

Required

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Nursing Assistant on the Georgia Registry
• Certified Medical Assistant awarded by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
• Registered Medical Assistant awarded by the American Medical Technologists (AMT)Certified Clinical Medical Assistant awarded by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)
• One (1) year of patient care experience, as a CNA, PCT, Military Medic, ED Tech or other relevant acute, direct patient care experience.

Preferred

• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
