Job summary

NueHealth is seeking a Patient Care Tech for the PreOp/PACU in ASC to assist with basic patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role covers adult and geriatric patients within the perianesthesia and perioperative areas.

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• Cooperative work attitude with co-employees, management, patients, visitors and physicians; strong communication.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the care of assigned patients under the direction of nursing staff.
• Maintains awareness of patient and family rights per center policies.
• Communicates findings, concerns and information to the assigned nurse promptly.
• Participates in staff meetings and in-service programs as applicable.
• Promotes a positive atmosphere and assists health team members and patients.
