Job summary

Tenet Healthcare Corporation's Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center seeks a Patient Care Tech to support patients in daily living activities and basic nursing care. The role acts as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants and PCTs, with cross-training to Unit Associate, and contributes to a safe, clean unit environment.

The position is day shift, per diem, and emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and adherence to evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) must be obtained within 90 days of hire or transfer into role date.
• Florida-issued CNA license or completion of first semester of RN program is preferred.

The Patient Care Tech. assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the patient, and serves as a clinical preceptor to Nursing Assistants & PCT’s and is cross-trained to Unit Associate. Assists with maintenance of a safe and clean unit environment. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Education:
