Job summary

Texas Health Arlington Memorial is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Med Surg Unit. The role supports patient care under the plan of care, with a focus on ADLs, data collection, and timely communication with nurses.

The position offers a full-time day shift (6am–6pm), 36 hours per week, with opportunities for growth and a comprehensive benefits package. Prior PCT experience and Texas requirements are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CLIAFE compliance required.
• Current TX CNA or PCT training with NHA/NAHP/NCCT or THR-approved program.
• Current EMT certification for TX or equivalent.
• Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program may qualify.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• CPI training within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to patient according to plan of care.
• Collect patient data and report significant findings to nurse.
• Assist in admission/transfer/discharge.
• Assist with activities of daily living.
• Perform technical procedures safely and proficiently.
• Maintain safe patient environment and anticipate needs.
• Document accurately and in collaboration with nurse.
