Texas Health Resources in Fort Worth, TX, is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the Med Surg Unit on a 7p-7a night shift. You will assist patients per the care plan, collect data, report findings to the nurse, and support admissions, discharges, and daily living activities.

The role emphasizes safety, collaboration with nurses, and culturally sensitive care in a fast-paced teaching environment with growth opportunities and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• TX CNA or PCT training with recognized certification is required or THR approved program.
• Current EMT certification for Texas or equivalent medical training preferred.
• Military medical training experience considered.
• Nursing student with fundamentals completed or foreign nurse degree acceptable.
• At least 1 year PCT experience in lieu of active certification preferred.
• CPI training within 60 days of hire is required.
• BCLS certification required prior to independent patient care and maintained quarterly.

• Incorporates cultural/religious needs and beliefs into care delivery.
• Keeps patient environment clean and safe and responds to needs.
• Rounds with patient/family and meets needs as appropriate.

Here’s What You Need

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
• CLIAFE - Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required, if applicable.
• Current TX CNA or PCT training with NHA, NAHP or NCCT or an accredited community college program or a THR approved program or
• Current EMT for TX or
• Military experience with medical training equivalent (Equivalent to EMT-B) or
• 1 year of applicable PCT experience in lieu of an active and approved certification or
• Nursing student who has completed fundamentals or foreign nurse degree program.
• Previous PCT experience is preferred.
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
• CPI - Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training within 60 days of hire required.
