Texas Health Denton, part of Texas Health Resources, Inc., is seeking a Patient Care Tech (PCT) for the General Surgical Unit. This fast-paced unit offers a day-shift, full-time schedule (7a–7p) with 36 hours per week, providing ample growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities include assisting patients per care plans, data collection and reporting, admissions/discharges, ADLs adjustments, and collaborating with nurses to ensure safe, culturally sensitive care.

• Provides assistance to patient according to plan of care.
• Collects patient data, identifies and reports significant findings to nurse.
• Assists in admission/transfer/discharge.
• Provides and revises patient activities of daily living based on patient/family preferences.
• Performs technical procedures safely and proficiently.
• Takes action to reduce or eliminate patient risk.
• Enters orders into computer or manual system if applicable.
• Documents accurately and appropriately.
• In collaboration with the nurse, adapts care to reflect patient population.
• In collaboration with nurse, incorporates cultural/religious needs and beliefs into delivery of care.
• Keeps patient environment clean and maintains safe environment.
• Anticipates patient/family and visitor needs and meets those needs.

Work hours:

What You Will Do
