Job summary

Mercy seeks a nurse tech to assist under the supervision of the RN or LPN for individualized patient care. The role supports a collaborative team and performs designated clinical and nonclinical tasks essential to patient care.

Candidates must be enrolled in an approved nursing program, provide transcripts showing Fundamentals of Nursing, and maintain good standing with their school. BLS is required within one month of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and enrollment in an approved nursing program.
• Provide transcripts showing Fundamentals of Nursing from an accredited school.
• Maintain good standing with the nursing program during the role.
• BLS certification required within one month of hire.
• Preferred certifications: CNA, CPCT, EMT or AUA.

Responsibilities

• Assist under RN or LPN to provide individualized patient care.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and nonclinical support tasks.
• Work cooperatively as part of a healthcare team.
