Job summary

Mercy seeks a Nurse Technician to assist in individualized patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN. You will work with a collaborative team to perform clinical procedures and nonclinical tasks essential to patient care.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and enrollment in a nursing program, with transcripts showing Fundamentals of Nursing. BLS must be obtained within one month of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and enrollment in an approved nursing program.
• Provide transcripts indicating completion of Fundamentals of Nursing.
• BLS certification required within 1 month of hire.
• Preferred: EMT, Paramedic or prior patient care experience; CNA/CPCT/EMT/AUA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in individualized patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and nonclinical support tasks essential to patient care.
• Work cooperatively with the care team to support patient wellness.
• Maintain safety and assist with patient care tasks as assigned.
