Job summary

MultiCare Health System's Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, WA, seeks a Patient Care Technician to support nursing care, patient transport and clerical duties. You will help deliver compassionate care across diverse patient groups and work closely with licensed staff to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

This .6 FTE, Day shift position includes rotating weekends (every other weekend, Friday through Monday) and requires Current BLS, Nursing Assistant licensure or Medical Assistant-Registered

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Medical Assistant-Registered Certification Eligible (Must apply within seven (7) days of hire)
• Must obtain Medical Assistant-Registered Certification within sixty (60) days of hire
• Nursing Assistant Certification/Licensure
• Medical Assistant-Registered Certification Eligible MA-P credential may be accepted in lieu of MA-R
• Current BLS Certification
• Recent bedside care experience in a health care environment

Responsibilities

• You will perform a dynamic range of duties and functions throughout the hospital
• You will assist in basic nursing care, transportation of patients, and clerical functions
• Apply your strong interpersonal skills when providing care for patients across a diverse spectrum of ethnic and social groups
• Collaborate with health care practitioner or registered nurse for comprehensive quality care
