Anderson Hospital in the United States seeks a Nurse Assistant to provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations under RN guidance. You will assist with hygiene, mobility, vital signs, and glucose monitoring while maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities include admitting/discharging/ transferring patients, documenting care, and supporting patient rights with respect for diversity.

Formación

• Current Nurse Assistant certification by the State of Illinois.
• Documentation of previous Nurse Assistant certification within the past 5 years.
• BLS certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Long term care, rehabilitation and/or medical-surgical care experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Admits/Discharges/Transfers patient and completes appropriate forms.
• Provides for patient hygiene.
• Provides for patients food and fluid needs.
• Assists with patient mobility.
• Obtains and records vital signs.
• Maintains safe environment of care.
• Provides for appropriate pressure ulcer prevention.
• Performs finger stick blood glucose monitoring under the direction of the RN.
• Completes documentation accurately and in a timely manner per hospital policies.
• Provides age-appropriate and population-specific patient care in adult and geriatric populations.
• Supports patient rights and responsibilities, including respect of cultural, ethical, and religious diversity.
• Adheres to standard precautions and infection control standards.

Job Summary: Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations, under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse.
