Job summary

Anderson Hospital is seeking a Nurse Assistant to provide direct, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients under RN supervision. Responsibilities include hygiene, mobility support, vital signs, and maintaining a safe, clean environment in a hospital setting.

The role requires an Illinois Nurse Assistant certification (or on-the-job training equivalent) and BLS. Prior long-term care, rehab, or medical-surgical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Assistant certification in Illinois or on-the-job training equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in long-term care, rehab or medical-surgical care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admits/discharges/transfers patients and completes forms as required.
• Provides for patient hygiene and nourishment.
• Assists with patient mobility and safe ambulation.
• Obtains and records vital signs per protocol.
• Maintains a safe, clean care environment and adheres to infection control standards.
• Provides age-appropriate patient care for adult and geriatric populations.

Job Summary: Provides direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations, under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse.
