Job summary

Cameron Hospital in Angola, IN, seeks a Patient Care Technician for a 0.6 FTE role (48 hours bi-weekly). This dual position supports essential patient care and clerical duties, under RN supervision, with a focus on compassionate, high-quality service.

The role requires BLS within 30 days and a high school diploma or equivalent. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, recording vital signs, and maintaining patient safety while leveraging electronic medical records.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a patient care tech and/or unit secretary preferred.
• Certified in BLS within one month of hire date.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily life.
• Input data into patient EMR.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, eating, walking and toileting.
• Monitor patient safety processes and ensure equipment is used properly.
• Support RN with routine tasks and department activities.
• Communicate abnormal findings to the RN supervisor.
