Job summary

AdventHealth in Rome, Georgia is hiring for a Day shift patient care role. The position requires direct patient care under RN supervision, with weekend rotation and 3 x 12 hour shifts from 6am to 6pm. Benefits start Day One and include a family-friendly package.

Education required is a High School Grad or equivalent. Preferred are 1+ PCT experience, bedside care in acute settings, and valid BLS, CNA/CPCT-A or EMT certifications. Compensation ranges from $15.31 to $24.50 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care and treatments in accordance with policies and procedures while supporting patients’ physical, emotional, and cultural needs.
• Assists the healthcare team under the direction of a registered nurse, including gathering patient information, identifying needs, and reporting abnormalities or changes in condition.
• Maintains patient safety by following infection prevention protocols, isolation guidelines, hand hygiene standards, and proper use of protective equipment.
• Responds appropriately during clinical emergencies and supports quality improvement initiatives, performance standards, and departmental best practices.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members while maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring a clean, safe care environment.

• Previous bedside patient care in an acute care unit, unit secretary, monitor technician, or equivalent medical experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications

• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) [Required] OR
• Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A)[Required]OR
• Emergency Medical Tech Cert (EMT)[Required]

Pay Range:

$15.31 - $24.50
