Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Windham Hospital seeks a Patient Care Technician to join its Emergency/medical team. You will assist RNs and MDs in direct patient care across age groups in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Shifts are 7:00 PM–7:00 AM, with every other weekend and holiday rotation. The role emphasizes patient support, vital signs, basic phlebotomy, and collaboration with the nursing staff to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• CNA or EMT certification preferred with clinical experience.
• BLS certification required within three months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN/MD with direct care for patients of all ages.
• Record vital signs, urine output, and intake as directed.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ambulate/turn patients safely.
• Perform basic therapeutic measures under RN supervision.
• Assist with phlebotomy and specimen collection as needed.
