Baptist Health Care in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Patient Care Technician II to coordinate patient care through communication, requisitioning and management of supplies and equipment. The role supports nursing staff, the patient, physicians, and other departments while performing front-desk duties to facilitate efficient unit operations.

Responsibilities include assisting with ambulation and vital signs, hygiene, I&O, and basic patient care.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 6 months healthcare experience or active nursing program enrollment required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association) upon hire required.
• Non-violent crisis intervention (CPI) within 90 days required.

Mansioni

• Assist with ambulating and mobilizing patients; monitor vitals (BP, temp, pulse, resp, SpO2).
• Assist with hygiene, bed mobility, feeding, I&O, and basic patient care tasks.
• Provide receptionist/clerical support; direct calls and relay information to nurses.
• Maintain supplies/inventory for the department and keep patient charts updated.
• Use computer systems to locate orders, retrieve patient information, and print census; follow Down Time procedures.
• Assist with patient transfers and discharges; notify appropriate areas.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to meet unit goals and ensure quality patient care.
